Chess Game and Analysis
“When you see a good move, look for a better one” (Emanuel Lasker)
Here is an analysis of a recent Chess Game I played in a tournament. I pondered for a while about what to play against Kevin and thought that I would give “c3″ a try. It worked quite well for this encounter. This is a 12 game match. The score now stands at 5-1.
Game Analysis and Commentary
|William Morrison||Kevin McPherson|
|7.||Bb5!?||e6?||better might be Nh6! with the idea of f6 and 0-0|
|15.||Ng5!||A strong move putting the finger on black’s weakest point; now Black’s game slides rapidly down|
|f5?||Black panics and makes things even worse. He should have played c5 and braced himself for the coming attack.|
|18.||dxe5!||One of many good replies. There was also Qg3, f7+ among others. Nxd5 is even in the works.|
